Our refund posture in one line: 7-day full refund — as long as you haven't exported anything yet. Once you've downloaded your list as a PDF, generated your personal statement, exported the application tracker, or shared with a counselor, the deliverable is in your hands and the refund window closes.
Complete Plan ($129) and Premium ($249)
- Within 7 days, before your first export: full refund, no questions. Email us and we will process it inside 5 business days to the original payment method.
- After your first export: refund window closes. The list, personal-statement draft, or tracker is now a portable artifact you can take anywhere, so we've provided what you paid for.
- After 7 days, even without an export: refund window closes. We want a tight feedback loop — if the engine didn't fit, we'd rather hear about it in week one.
What counts as “exporting”
We can't see whether you applied to the schools we recommended — we don't connect to the Common App, school portals, or your inbox. We use signals from inside the app. Any one of these locks the refund window:
- You exported a list as PDF.
- You generated your personal statement draft.
- You exported the application tracker as CSV.
- You clicked the share button on any list or document.
- You sent a share link to a recommender, counselor, or coach.
- You invited a parent, counselor, or college coach into your dashboard.
How to request a refund
Email [email protected]from the email address on your account, with one sentence about what didn't fit. We will confirm your eligibility against the rules above and issue the refund within 5 business days. No questionnaires, no retention scripts.
Exceptions
- Duplicate charge or technical billing error: full refund, regardless of usage state.
- Account compromise or fraud: full refund + account restoration; please contact us immediately.
- Service outage on our side: pro-rated credit for any day FalconPrep was meaningfully unavailable.
