Refund policy

Our refund posture is simple: full refund if you haven't used the product yet, pro-rated refund if you have, no refund once you've exported your list. We can't see whether you applied to the schools we recommended, so we use whether you took the list out of our app as the “you used it” signal.
One-time access ($99)
- Before your first list is generated: full refund, no questions. Email us within 30 days.
- After list generation, before any export or share action: 50% refund within 14 days of purchase. You've seen the product but haven't taken it out of the app.
- After you export (PDF / share / parent invite) OR after 7+ days of active use: no refund. The product was delivered as advertised.
Annual companion ($299/year)
- Before your first list is generated: full refund, no questions.
- After list generation, before any export or share action: pro-rated refund (months remaining ÷ 12 × $299), within the first 30 days.
- After you export OR after 30+ days of active use: pro-rated refund only for the unused portion of the year (months remaining ÷ 12 × $299). No refund for past months you've been a subscriber.
- Cancellation: one-click in your dashboard, no questions, no retention dark patterns. You keep access through the end of your paid period.
How we know if you've “used” the product
We can't see whether you applied to the schools we recommended — we don't connect to the Common App, school portals, or your inbox. We use signals from inside our app instead. You're considered to have materially used the product when any of the following happen:
- You exported a list as PDF.
- You clicked the share button on any list.
- You invited a parent, counselor, or college coach into your dashboard.
- The list has been visible in your account for 7+ days (for One-time access) or 30+ days (for Annual companion).
How to request a refund
Email hello@falconprep.appwith the email address on your account. We'll confirm your eligibility based on the rules above and issue the refund to the original payment method within 5 business days. No questionnaires, no retention scripts.
Exceptions
- Duplicate charge or technical billing error: full refund, regardless of usage state.
- Account compromise or fraud: full refund + account restoration; please contact us immediately.
- Service outage on our side: pro-rated credit for any day Falcon was meaningfully unavailable.
